surprises

This has been a year where I do not really know how to sum it up or how to reflect on. COVID has pushed life to new boundaries and plans aside. There was not much space to know new people or to gather in large settings to mingle, however there are silver linings to it. The friendship that was forged prior to COVID survived the tormentous effects of it. I am grateful for it, it is special. Everyone is waiting for this shit to end.

Dealing with a restricted life has been stifling. I am not really a extroverted, party going person, but I value the freedom of enjoying the company of familiar ones. This was taken away from me due to the restrictions. Thankfully, those close to me kept beside me and got closer. I count myself lucky to know my friends better during this depressing period with no end in sight. Circumstances do sometimes result in surprises that I appreciate.

I hope the special bonds built doing this pandemic will survive beyond time and I am not asking for more, but to have an avenue for my deeper thoughts and emotions.
