What’s behind this is a 2022 that has been rough and painful. Just when 2022 started well, life throws a curveball. My injury, home emergencies and other down moments punctuated the year. And the grieve from a loss in 2021 was still raw. I had no time to cope with my own struggles, but I looked like I had it under control and hid well. I have not shed more tears ever- those from the eyes and the heart.
Life has got to be BETTER.
The moments with friends made me forget about the world and filled the loneliness. Having your attention and being there meant so much to me. You may not know, but it gave much joy and comfort that I needed. That pulled me through. THANK YOU for making time when I asked for it.
On the job front, the changing responsibilities meant constant adaptations. I am just being focused on the priorities and working hard for the right reasons.
So whatever moments I captured and posted are reminders to keep the good times ALIVE, to keep it meaningful (of course, there will be sucky times, but make it count). Create memories. Hang out. Let loose. Soak in the music. Read some good books. Work out. Listen to what others take effort to express. Share inner thoughts from the heart with someone. I think I managed to do all of those in some way or another- one of which is a challenge for me.
I tried to be braver, expressing myself more, saying things from within. Awkwardly I shared my raw thoughts, my feelings. I was afraid and worried each time. I have forgotten how many times I held myself back. If you heard that side of me, thank you for listening.
I’m sure I’m not the only one with a tough time, so I hope I was able to do something for my friends too. I still tried to give as much as I could. There is no need for huge experiences, just WONDERFUL ones.
Now on hindsight, I think I was BRAVE enough for 2022. I want to take some big steps next. I deserve a better 2023, so do YOU.
